According to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office, a 25-year old Fontana man died in the early hours in an accident in Victorville.
Apparently he had lost control of his motorcycle while going around a curve in the road and was ejected from his seat, causing his body to end up quite a distance away from the accident.
Firefighters pronounced him dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet but no other safety gear. The Sheriff’s Department is investigating to determine what caused this young man to lose control of his motorcycle.
If the investigation determines a mechanical failure of some sort, his family should contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to see if they can file a lawsuit against the manufacturer of the motorcycle or whatever equipment failed him. They may be entitled to compensation for their tragic loss plus any expenses incurred.

A man rushing away from a group of angry people outside a Victorville nightclub ran over a woman. Apparently, as he tried to leave, the group threw bottles at him, kicked and jumped on his car. When he abruptly put the car in reverse, he struck the woman. He did not stop and fled the parking lot while a security guard fired shots at his vehicle. Police had received an earlier report about a disturbance in the nightclub.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is attempting to identify the driver and any passengers inside the car. Police believe he may have been fleeing the area out of concern for his own safety. They found his car close by. They are investigating to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic accident.
The 29-year old woman was taken to a local hospital in Colton by air. She died there several hours later. There were no other injuries reported. The woman’s death is the second death tied to the club in the last six months.
California Vehicle Code 20001 states, “The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to any person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of any person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident.”
If your family member is the victim of a hit-and-run accident, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will advise you about filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the other driver, once he or she is found.

It was a horrific scene in Victorville a few nights ago. A 20-year old pregnant woman was killed while her 17-month old daughter sustained minor injuries.
The woman was walking on a road in Victorville when she and her daughter, who was in a stroller, were hit by a truck from behind – the vehicle never stopped; it fled the scene. The child was thrown from the stroller. It is unknown why she was walking at 10:30 p.m.
The young woman was five months pregnant. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. The young child was treated at a local hospital and released to her father. Apparently the woman was speaking to her boyfriend on a cell phone, the child’s father, when they were hit.
Authorities are asking any witnesses to come forward. They said the truck will have damage to the right front and will be missing a mirror on the passenger’s side.
California Vehicle Code 20001 requires all drivers involved in an accident where someone was injured or killed to stop their vehicle immediately.
I urge them to seek the help of an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney in filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver when he is caught and arrested.

A 48-year old Victorville man out for a day of fun in Apple Valley crashed his all-terrain cycle.
Reports indicate he was riding down a steep grade right before noon the other day when he lost control. The vehicle rolled, crashed into a big tree and he was thrown from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Apple Valley Police department is investigating the accident to determine what happened. They will check to see if he was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, if there was mechanical problems or if he was just negligent.
If it is determined that the bike had mechanical problems, it might be wise for the family to consult with an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to see if they can be compensated for expenses and the loss of their family member.

According to San Bernardino County Sheriff officials, a 20-year old Adelanto woman died in Victorville yesterday.
Reports say that she was traveling at high speeds when her vehicle began sliding sideways; it also overturned several times. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected out of the vehicle.
Deputies investigating the fatal accident believe alcohol and talking on a cell phone were major factors that caused her death. The Sheriff’s department is asking anyone who witnessed this accident to contact them.
How very sad. This young woman was breaking the law by drinking and driving, talking on the phone and not wearing a seat belt.

I cannot tell my clients, family and friends enough times that drinking and driving is a bad idea and could prove to be fatal as it did this past weekend for a 32-year old Hesperia man.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s department believes that alcohol may have played a role in the death of a man who crashed his truck into a drainage channel in Victorville recently. He lost control of his vehicle as he drove around a curve in the road.
An individual that was passing by in the early morning hours discovered his body. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Again, I urge you not to get behind the wheel of a vehicle if you have had any alcohol. It is not only dangerous for other motorists, but it can lead to your own death as it did to this man. If you involved in an accident caused by someone who may have been drinking, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will investigate the accident for you.
