According to San Bernardino County Fire officials, a small plane crashed into a parked car in Hesperia the other night.  The pilot and passenger were taken to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

When the rescue team arrived, the parked car was fully engulfed in flames; it was empty.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating why the plane crashed.  They are asking any witnesses to this crash to call the Hesperia station.

If you are a passenger in a small plane that is involved in a crash and are injured, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who can investigate for you to determine if you can seek damages for your injuries and medical expenses.

According to Victorville Police, a man making an unsafe left turn caused the death of a 35-year old motorcyclist recently.  The driver turned in the path of the motorcycle; the motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and died at the scene.

According to California Vehicle Code Section 21804(a), “The driver of any vehicle about to enter or cross a highway from any public or private property, or from an alley, shall yield the right-of-way to all traffic.”  The law requires all drivers to exercise care and caution before making a left turn on a major road.

Statistics show that three people were killed in recent years in motorcycle accidents.  The accident is under investigation.  If it turns out that the driver was at fault, he or she can be held liable for the motorcyclist’s wrongful death.

I urge the family of the motorcyclist to contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury Attorney to determine if they can file a wrongful death claim for compensation of their loss and expenses.

A driver making a left-hand turn in Victorville the other day apparently did not see a 35-year old motorcyclist close by.  The motorcyclist was hit; he died at the scene.

Police are investigating to determine what happened. I would advise the family to contact a skilled Personal Injury Attorney in the area to see what their options are.

A young boy was hit by a car the other morning while walking in a crosswalk.  The accident happened in Fontana near a middle school.  A Rancho Cucamonga woman did not stop even though a crossing guard held up a stop sign.

The boy sustained minor injuries on his hand, hip and left side.  The woman received a ticket for unsafe speed and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.  California vehicle code law requires a driver of a vehicle to yield the right-of-way to pedestrians in crosswalks.

The accident is under investigation to determine if the driver was distracted or just driving recklessly.  I would advise the boy’s family to contact an experienced Personal Injury attorney to advise them of their legal rights and to see if they can be compensated for their medical expenses.  In any event, I hope the little boy makes a speedy recovery.

A 21-year old man riding his bicycle on State Route 247 was struck by a vehicle recently.  He died at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol reports that in 2008, San Bernardino County was the scene of 8 bicycle deaths and a little less than 300 injuries as a result of bicycle accidents.

The California Highway Patrol officers are investigating the cause of this fatal accident.  They are looking at all the issues to determine what side of the road the young man was riding on, and if the auto driver was distracted, under the influence or speeding.  They want to see who was at fault.

I urge the deceased’s family to consult with an experienced San Bernardino personal injury attorney who will review all the issues involved in this fatal accident and make sure the negligent party is held accountable.
