Honda has issued a recall for approximately 1,300 2006 CR-V crossover vehicles for a flaw in the suspension system, which could potentially cause an accident.

It was reported that the part that holds the two parts of the suspension in place is defective. If the parts separate, it could cause steering problems and major injury accidents. Once an owner receives a notice, he or she can take their vehicle to a Honda dealer who will replace the front lower arm, if necessary.

If you or a family member has been injured because of a vehicle defect, you may be entitled to compensation from the automobile manufacturer. Contact a San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who has successfully handled similar product liability cases to discuss your legal rights and options.

A 14-year old skateboarder, who at first was walking along a street near Fontana, decided to get onto his skateboard in a traffic lane directly in front of an SUV.  The area does not have paved sidewalks – only dirt.

The SUV could not stop in time and struck him.  It is not currently known if the driver was distracted.  Statistics show that accidents with pedestrians and skateboarders are the second largest category of motor vehicle deaths and injuries.  He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died a few hours later.

California law states that it is a driver’s responsibility to drive safely while sharing the road with others, such as a skateboarder.  The law also states that all skateboarders under the age of 18 must wear a helmet.  It is not immediately known if the victim was wearing one.

Skateboarders have rights on the roads also.  If you or someone in your family is injured or killed on a skateboard due to someone else’s negligence, you may be entitled to monetary damages for their death, injuries or pain and suffering.  Contact an experienced and knowledgeable San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will help you get the maximum compensation you deserve.

Subaru has announced a recall for approximately four hundred 2012 Legacy and Outback vehicles, due to a potential airbag defect. The vehicles were manufactured in December 2011.

Consumer Reports indicated that the defective side curtain airbags may fail to deploy during an impact, increasing the risk of injury to drivers and passengers in an accident.

Side airbags are supposed to protect individuals involved in broadside or T-bone accidents – accidents that occur at an intersection of if a driver runs a red light or does not yield the right-of-way.

Side curtain airbags offer much-needed additional protection to an individual in a broadside accident.  When they fail to deploy, the results can be catastrophic.

If you have one of these vehicles, Subaru dealers will replace them at no cost to you.  If you have one of these vehicles and are injured because the airbag did not deploy, contact a San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who has been successful in automobile product liability cases.  You may be entitled to compensation for your injuries, medical bills and other accident-related expenses.
