San Bernardino freeway accidents often result in catastrophic injuries because of the speed of the vehicles involved. Many accidents are caused by fast-moving vehicles veering out of control; rear-end crashes, head-on collisions, and big-rig trucks traveling all over the freeway.
Some of the most common traffic violations that cause freeway accidents include:
· Drunk driving
· Speeding
· Reckless driving
· Unsafe lane changes
· Following too closely
If you have suffered a loss in a San Bernardino freeway accident, you would be well-advised to seek legal guidance from a skilled San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney regarding your legal rights and options – an attorney who will hold the at-fault driver accountable for damages such as medical bills, past and future suffering, lost wages, etc.

A 32-year old San Bernardino man lost control of his vehicle the other morning on Interstate 15 in Hesperia, causing it to drift into the center divider then cross several lanes – it ended up crashing into a big-rig. According to reports, the driver was speeding.
The trucker tried to avoid the collision, but was unable to do so. The impact caused the truck to overturn on the shoulder and roll down an embankment, killing the 66-year old big-rig driver.
According to California Vehicle Code Section 21658(a), “Whenever a roadway has been divided into two or more clearly marked lanes for traffic in one direction the vehicle shall be driven as nearly as practical entirely within a single lane and shall not be moved from the lane until such movement can be made with reasonable safety.”
If you have a loved one who was killed due to another person’s negligence, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to investigate the facts for you. Motorcyclists only have a helmet and a thin layer of clothing to stand between them and the asphalt. They do not have the protection that a 3,000+ pound passenger car provides, such as seat belts and air bags.
Because a motorcycle driver does not have the proper protection in the event of an accident, the injuries sustained can be severe and include surgery, physical rehabilitation, costly hospital stays, medication, and traumatic brain or spinal cord damage. According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, motorcycle accidents have increased every year.
Motorcycle accidents often occur because of reckless driving, speeding or swerving from lane to lane on the freeways. However, in some cases, they happen because of negligent and inattentive automobile drivers.
If you or someone you care about has been injured in a motorcycle accident, contact a San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who has been successful in motorcycle accidents and will fight to secure the compensation you need for lost wages, medical bills and pain and suffering.

California Highway Patrol officers investigating a fatal accident on Interstate 15 in Hesperia in the early morning hours almost got run over by a 23-year old suspected drunken driver.
The 23-year old man was arrested and booked for investigation of drunken driving after he drove through an accident scene that the officers had put cones and flares around; he was released after promising to appear at a court hearing later on.
The earlier accident involved a 35-year old man who was killed when he attempted to change lanes at a high speed and crashed into a big-rig; alcohol is believed to be a factor in his death.
The accident is under investigation to determine who was at fault. If you are injured in an accident involving another vehicle, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will fight to protect your rights because he or she has your best interests in mind.

Two women, ages 22 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run in conjunction with the death of a 38-year old man.
The man was out for a walk near his home when he was run down by the vehicle, which fled the scene. Witnesses say the woman and her passenger live in the area and have been seen many times speeding and driving recklessly through the streets of Hesperia.
California Vehicle Code Section 20001(a) states, “Motorists are required to stop immediately and remain at the scene of a crash.”
It would be wise if they contacted an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will investigate the facts of their case to determine if they should file a wrongful death lawsuit so they can be compensated for their loss and any expenses incurred.

A 36-year old man riding his motorcycle on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway in Fontana the other night lost control and crashed into the back of a big-rig tractor trailer.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating to determine the cause of this fatal accident. They are checking to see if the motorcyclist was speeding or if the motorcycle had a mechanical malfunction. In addition, they are checking to see if the big-rig driver could have been at fault.
I would suggest that the family of the motorcyclist consult with an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney about the possibility of filing a wrongful death lawsuit because if the big-rig driver is found to be at fault, he and/or his employer could be held liable for compensation of medical and funeral expenses.
