When an individual is involved in an accident, it is without a doubt that they look to the at-fault driver who caused the accident for recovery of damages and expenses.

Were you injured in an automobile accident where the at-fault driver did not have auto insurance?  Or, were you injured in an automobile accident where the at-fault driver did not have enough insurance coverage to compensate you for your injuries?

If this is the case, do not get alarmed.  You may still have an avenue of recovery through your own insurance policy.  Your policy may have uninsured and/or underinsured motorist provisions.  If you do, it can pay for injuries to you and any passengers.

If you or a loved one has been injured in an accident and the at-fault driver did not have adequate insurance, you can still recover for your losses.  Contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will be able to leverage his or her experience into obtaining the full compensation you deserve.

Are you aware that an 18-wheeler truck weighs about 80,000 pounds compared to a passenger vehicle that weighs about 5,000 pounds? Are you also aware that one in every eight to ten traffic-related deaths involves the largest vehicle on the road - the 18-wheeler truck?

According to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, approximately 500,000 trucking accidents happen every year in the United States.  When these accidents occur, about 5,000 people die and more than 100,000 are seriously injured.

Since serious injuries require expensive treatments, these accidents can have long-term, disastrous effects on an emotional, physical and financial level.

If you or a loved one has been severely injured in an 18-wheeler trucking accident, or if a loved one has died in such an accident, contact a San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who has been successful in trucking accidents to determine whether you have a legal claim and are entitled to a settlement.

Every year thousands of construction workers are killed or seriously injured on the job even though many California and Federal regulations require safety measures to be implemented at the workplace.  Construction sites can be a very dangerous place because of the heavy equipment and other hazards found there.

A 32-year old laborer died when he was struck in the head by a forklift bucket at a job site near Victorville.

The fatal accident happened while the crew was lining a waste water pond.  Reports indicate that a forklift moving large rolls of liner struck the man.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  There were no other injuries reported.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and Cal/OSHA are investigating the death.

When a family loses a member to a work-related incident, they are left with questions about hazardous job conditions and other circumstances that caused their loved one’s death.  The most important one is whether the company he worked for is responsible for his death and can be sued.  The answer is yes.

If a loved one has suffered death due to neglect in the workplace, you may be entitled to compensation.  Contact a San Bernardino attorney experienced in Personal Injury who will help you file a wrongful death lawsuit so you can be compensated for the damages and loss you incurred.  While money cannot fully compensate for the loss of a loved one, compensation for medical expenses and lost earnings can help ensure a stable future for you and your family.

Three young brothers, ages 13, 11 and 6, were heading to school in Hesperia the other morning when a car struck them while in a crosswalk.

Several other vehicles stopped to help the boys.  The driver, who hit them, said he did not see them in the crosswalk.  The boys were seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.  The driver was not injured.

California Vehicle Code Section 21950(a) states, “The driver of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within any marked crosswalk or within any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection.”

Sheriff’s officials are investigating the accident and have ruled out alcohol and/or drugs as a contributing factor.
