Amputation can be a result of any number of reasons. Some examples include a motor vehicle accident, a defective product, medical malpractice or a dog attack.
A traumatic amputation is a catastrophic injury that generally occurs when a vehicle is broadsided or a head-on collision takes place – pinning an arm or leg within a crushed vehicle. The consequences can be devastating because they can permanently alter the quality of your life. In a short period of time, you, as the victim, can find yourself buried in debt due to medical care, prosthetics, nursing care, and physical therapy that follow.
If you have suffered a traumatic amputation of one of your limbs, it is essential that you speak to a San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who has demonstrated experience in winning lawsuits of this kind. If someone is at fault for your amputation, you have a right to seek compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, disfigurement, pain and suffering, emotional distress and loss of quality of life, etc. from all liable parties.

A 20-year old man traveling through the Cajon Pass last week crashed into a disabled tractor-trailer north of Highway 138. Paramedics found the man suffering from multiple injuries; he died at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating this accident. The man may have been a soldier stationed at Fort Irwin.
I urge all drivers to take caution on Interstate 15 – the scene of multiple accidents in recent weeks. Of course, you should proceed with caution on any road.
