A trucker involved in a chain-reaction accident on Interstate 15 last year will begin a nine-month jail sentence this month after pleading guilty to four misdemeanor counts of vehicular manslaughter.
The accident took place when an SUV with a family of four was stuck between two tractor-trailer trucks in stop-and-go traffic. The crash caused one of the trucks and the SUV to be engulfed in flames, killing the entire family.
The trucker said the crash happened so quickly; he had no time to do anything to avoid it due to the freeway construction all around him. He stated that he was not on his cell phone and he was not on drugs. He suffered burns to his hands, arm and face while trying to save one of the passengers of the SUV.
If a family member is killed in an accident as a result of a negligent driver, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will investigate your case to determine if you are entitled to file a wrongful death lawsuit and receive compensation for your loss and expenses.

The other morning did not start off well for commuters traveling on the southbound Interstate 15 in Devore.
A major traffic jam occurred when a big-rig caught fire, igniting a nearby brush. The incident closed down two lanes for several hours, causing traffic to back up for several miles. San Bernardino County firefighters put the flames out.
Officials are investigating to determine why the big-rig caught fire. The good news is that no one was injured – this was very lucky for the commuters traveling this road. If you are injured because of a fire caused by a big-rig or any other vehicle, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will investigate your case to determine if you can file a lawsuit for damages, injuries and medical expenses.

It is unknown why an SUV with two men traveling on the northbound side of Interstate 15 in San Bernardino crashed into the center divider the other morning.
After the vehicle came to a stop, another SUV crashed into the back end of the first SUV; the impact caused both vehicles to go over the side of the freeway and burst into flames. Firefighters found the dead bodies of both men in the first SUV.
California Highway Patrol officers are investigating to determine what caused this fatal accident to happen – why the first SUV crashed into the center divider and why the second SUV did not stop in time to avoid crashing. Without this information, they cannot determine who was at fault in the end.
If your loved one is killed in an accident, it would be wise for you to contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who can determine if you should file a wrongful death lawsuit against the responsible party and receive compensation for your loss and expenses incurred.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The California Highway Patrol is investigating to determine why the man was crossing the freeway late that night. A 32-year old man lost control of his vehicle on Interstate 15 near Barstow when one of the tires lost tread. It caused the vehicle to veer across all the lanes, hit a concrete divider wall and roll over several times.
Tire defects can lead to serious injury accidents regardless of whether it is due to tire pressure of tire tread separation. It results in the driver losing control over the vehicle, especially at high freeway speeds.
The driver died at the scene while his two passengers, a 35-year old man and 31-year old man sustained only minor bruises.
The California Highway Patrol officers are investigating this fatal accident. If it is determined that the tire tread separation happened because of a manufacturing defect, I urge the family of the victim to contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney to file a claim against the auto maker or tire manufacturer.

The weekend did not end well for two individuals who were severely injured after being ejected from their vehicle when it rolled off Interstate 15; they landed in a concrete drainage ditch.
One of the victims was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital and the other was taken by air to a nearby trauma center according to San Bernardino Fire Department officials.
California Highway Patrol is investigating to determine what caused this to happen – Was the driver under the influence? Did another vehicle cause them to roll off the freeway? Was there something in the road? Did they have mechanical problems?
The conditions of the two victims are unknown at this time.
Depending on the cause of the accident, the victims and/or the families should contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Statistics show that approximately 2,000 people were injured as a result of car accidents in San Bernardino County in a given year. Big-rigs take up a lot of space and are seen all over freeways in Southern California.
According to the San Bernardino Police Department at least one person was injured on Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass recently when the vehicle he or she was in ended up underneath a big-rig. Witnesses say the vehicle swerved erratically shortly before the accident occurred. The individual was taken to a local hospital for treatment. It is not known if the individual was the driver or a passenger.
The accident is under investigation to determine what caused the vehicle to go out of control. Investigators are checking to see if it was a mechanical defect or if the driver was at fault.

Those heading to work in Apple Valley the other morning on the southbound Interstate 15 were probably late. Two big-rigs crashed and burst into flames, closing part of the freeway for most of the morning to put out the fire.
According to the California Highway Patrol, one of the big-rigs was pulled onto the right for a new driver to take the next shift. Apparently, a second tractor trailer drifted onto the shoulder and crashed into the first one.
A driver in the stopped big-rig suffered cuts to his hands and feet. There were no other injuries reported; however, both big-rigs were destroyed in the fire.
CHP officers are investigating to determine what caused the second big-rig to drift off the freeway and strike the first one. The first driver should contact a San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who is familiar with big-rig accidents. Depending on the results of the investigation, he may be entitled to compensation for his injuries and medical expenses.
