Two women, ages 22 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run in conjunction with the death of a 38-year old man.
The man was out for a walk near his home when he was run down by the vehicle, which fled the scene. Witnesses say the woman and her passenger live in the area and have been seen many times speeding and driving recklessly through the streets of Hesperia.
California Vehicle Code Section 20001(a) states, “Motorists are required to stop immediately and remain at the scene of a crash.”
It would be wise if they contacted an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will investigate the facts of their case to determine if they should file a wrongful death lawsuit so they can be compensated for their loss and any expenses incurred.

California Highway Patrol officers reported to the scene on the southbound side of Interstate 15 in Hesperia after a vehicle crashed into a big-rig.
It is suspected that the man had been drinking. He died at the scene.
California Vehicle Code Sections 23152 (a) and (b) state, “It is a misdemeanor to drive under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and it is a misdemeanor to drive with .08% or more of alcohol in your blood.” California law says that a defendant charged with drinking and driving can be convicted of both offenses.
If you or someone you know is injured or killed by a drunk driver, contact an experienced San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who will investigate the facts of your case and explain your rights and options to you.

It does not seem that long ago since a 12-year old boy was injured while skateboarding on the shoulder of a Hesperia street. The driver of a pickup truck, crashed into him. The young boy suffered major head trauma and a compound fracture to one of his legs.
According to a report made by the California Highway Patrol a few years back, Hesperia only reported 5 deaths and a little over 30 injuries involving alcohol-related accidents. The man was arrested for suspicion of a felony DUI.
I hope the family of this young boy contacted a Personal Injury attorney who is experienced in making sure negligent and drunk drivers are held responsible for their actions. He or she can also advise the family what to do if the negligent driver had no insurance or not enough insurance to compensate them for all of their expenses.
This young man is in my prayers for a speedy recovery.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported that a young woman lost control of her vehicle in Hesperia, rolled over several times and killed the two other young people in the back seat. The car accident happened at 2:00 a.m. One of the passengers died at the scene and the other died at a local hospital. The passenger in the front seat sustained minor injuries and was released from the hospital after being treated. The driver was still in the hospital at the time of this writing.
The accident is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department – they are not sure if alcohol is involved. If it was, once again – I have to alert you not to drink and drive - it results in disaster and worse.
