It is important to have four good tires on your vehicle; they are critical to the safe operation of that vehicle. What happens when your tires have a defect?
There are numerous cases of tread coming off a tire through no fault of the driver. When this occurs, it can be the result of a defect in the material or in the actual manufacturing of the tire. The tread is on the outside of the tire; it meets the roadway. When tread separation happens, the outer tread peels off the tire, leaving it bare and exposed to the elements. When the vehicle is traveling at a high speed on the freeway, the driver will feel a sudden lurch to the side; he or she will not be able to keep the vehicle on the roadway. An accident will occur.
If you have been injured because your tire had tread separation, there was probably very little you could have done to prevent an accident. This is one of the most serious situations you can face. If this has happened to you, contact a San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who has experience holding manufacturers accountable for products that put consumers at risk.
