A small plane attempting an emergency landing in the desert near Barstow over the weekend crashed and killed all three people aboard.  It is unfortunate, but accidents of small planes happen more often than with commercial airlines.

According to Federal Aviation Administration officials and the California Highway Patrol, the plane originated in Las Vegas and was headed to Corona.  The pilot declared an emergency; he was attempting to land in Barstow when he crashed.

Officials are investigating to determine what the emergency was and why the pilot crashed.

If you have a family member that was injured or killed in a small plane crash, contact a San Bernardino Personal Injury attorney who has experience with plane crash accident cases – who will investigate to determine if your family member’s untimely death was caused partially by a defect in the plane - and will take your case to a satisfactory resolution.

Did you hear about the small plane that crashed in Joshua Tree National Park not too long ago?  It was on its way to Palm Springs when the crash took place.  The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s office reported that airport officials lost contact with the aircraft about 10 miles northeast of Palm Springs.

The Park rangers found the wreckage and the two occupants were alive.  However, both were in critical condition and were taken by air to a trauma center for treatment.  The cause of the accident is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.  They believe weather may have caused the crash since storms were reported in the area.
